Some information on M/V Crazy Eights

"Crazy Eights" is a 1989 Jefferson 37' powerboat with a forward and aft stateroom, each with its own head and shower. She is powered by 2-250hp Cummins engines and cruises nicely at a speed of 8-10 knots. When you want to get somewhere faster, but at the expense of fuel costs, she travels 14-16 knots.

The flybridge is enclosed to travel comfortably in all types of weather. There is an aft sundeck where we enjoy hours of relaxation in port or at anchor.

We have an 11' dinghy with a 15hp engine that is used to and from shore when we're anchored. After many attempts to train Reggie to potty onboard, we take him ashore twice a day. We simply have resigned ourselves that this is the drill. Who trains who?

We have all the comforts of home - a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, grill, TV and DVD player and laptop.

We purchased Crazy Eights from the original owners in West Palm Beach, FL in Jul 2005, and brought her to St. Simon's Island, GA. In Apr 2006 we traveled south again to West Palm Beach, crossed the Gulf Stream to West End, Bahamas into the Abacos, Bahamas for several weeks. We traveled northward to the Chesapeake as far as Annapolis, MD, before returning once again to St. Simon's in Aug. We logged nearly 3,500 miles in 2006.
